FNFP offers a fellowship focused on values-based, indigenous leadership development and is an international alliance between Kamehameha Schools, Stanford University, and First Nations groups from Aotearoa-New Zealand. Fellows complete approximately a 9-week program over a 12-month period, featuring a two-week Summer Institute at Stanford University and three-week place-based projects in Hawai'i and New Zealand.

Kamehameha Schools' admissions policy is to give preference to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law. Applicants who wish to be considered under that policy must have their Hawaiian ancestry verified by KS' Ho'oulu Hawaiian Data Center.
