The committee submitted the following names for consideration by the Probate Court for selection as Trustee of the Estate of Bernice Pauahi Bishop: Anton C. Krucky, Lance K. Wilhelm and T. Aulani Wilhelm.
The selection process, approved by the Probate Court in 2000, calls for the presiding probate judge to pick a new trustee from that list after a 30-day public comment period. The court's committee consists of the following members: Richard A. Coons, Wendy B. Crabb, Benjamin M. Matsubara, Michael E. Rawlins, George "Keoki" Freeland, Cheryl Lehua Ka'uhane Lupenui and Wesley T. Park.
The 30-day comment period will begin upon publication of the above list of finalists in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, expected to occur on July 31, 2011. The deadline for public input is 4:00 pm, August 30, 2011.
