Three Former Warriors Taken in 2011 MLB Draft

June 8, 2011

Wong graduated from KS-Hawai‘i in 2008 before having a stellar three-year collegiate career at the University of Hawai‘i. Wong was a three-time all-WAC selection, and a Collegiate Baseball Third-Team All American in 2011. He is just the second player that graduated from a Hawai‘i high school to get drafted in the first round and only the third player from the University of Hawai‘i to go in the first round since they changed the format of the draft in 1987.

Alexander graduated from KS-Maui in 2009 before he played two seasons at Feather River College in Quincy, Calif. He was a first-team all-league honoree at Feather River in 2011, helping the team to a Golden Valley Conference championship.

Meyer is a 2011 graduate of KS-Kapālama. He was a three-time all-state honoree. He had a great senior season at the plate in 2011, batting over .500 for the season.
