Scholarships are available for both Kamehameha Schools and non-Kamehameha Schools' students pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees. The Bruce T. and Jackie Mahi Erickson Scholarship, George Hi'ilani Mills Perpetual Fellowship Scholarship, Iwalani Carpenter Sowa Scholarship and the and the Kamehameha Schools Alumni Association – O'ahu Region Scholarship are among those scholarships being offered for the 2007-2008 academic year.
Most scholarships are for individuals who are a classified, full-time student at an accredited institution. Applicants must also be enrolled in a two- to four-year post-high degree program and demonstrate satisfactory academic achievement and merit. Additionally, certain scholarships may require applicants to demonstrate financial need. Select scholarships are also available to individuals who are enrolled on a part-time basis, or attending an accredited vocational or trade institution. Online scholarship applications with supporting materials must be received in the Foundation's office by 4 p.m., Friday, May 11, 2007.
The Foundation's policy is to give preference to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law.
