KS warns families of potential phone scam

September 26, 2011

Contributed by Thomas Yoshida

KS believes it is someone phishing for bank account information or falsely soliciting services for a fee paid up front by check or credit card number.

The male caller is asking families if they're interested in applying to KS and for a fee could help with the process. The school does not charge a fee to apply.

KS has not retained the service of a third party to help with admissions to its campuses and any claim made otherwise is false.

Applications are still being accepted for K-12 at all three KS campuses on Hawai'i, Maui and O'ahu. Deadline to apply is Friday, September 30. To download an application or to find an application workshop in your area, visit: www.ksbe.edu/admissions.
