KS Strategic Implementation Plan Announced to Public

December 20, 2001

Contributed by Kekoa Paulsen

As you know, the plans call for extensive collaboration with several private and public sector partners. Officials from the Office of the Governor, State Department of Education, HGEA, Harold Castle Foundation, HSTA, Board of Education, UPW, and the Legislature attended today's conference in support of KS' plans and offered statements of encouragement and endorsement of Kamehameha's efforts. Reporters from The Honolulu Advertiser, Honolulu Star-Bulletin, KGMB, KITV, KHON, Pacific Business News and Ka Wai Ola OHA attended the press conference. You will undoubtedly see coverage of this important message and plan in the media over the next few days. In the next few weeks you will receive the Winter Issue of I Mua, and it contains a schedule of community meetings at which we will share information about the Strategic Implementation Plan. I look forward to seeing you at one of the meetings so we can tell you what the Implementation Plan will mean for you, your children and your communities. Thank you for your continued support of Kamehameha and best wishes for a very happy Holiday Season and a peaceful and joyous New Year! I Mua Kamehameha! Hamilton McCubbin Chief Executive Officer
