Ferreira holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Hawaii, and is knowledgeable in a number of operating systems and applications. In a meeting with Kamehameha Schools executives, Ferreira emphasized credibility, reputation and communication as cornerstones of an effective IT operation, and committed to supporting customer responsiveness, on-time and on-budget implementation and evaluation of operational effectiveness through the use of metrics. As IT Director, Ferreira will report to Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer Eric Yeaman. He replaces Dwight Kealoha, who will head the newly formed Kamehameha Schools Pauahi Leadership Institute.
Kamehameha Schools’ policy is to give preference to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law.
