The KS Maui Biomedical Debate team, consisting of Christian Fernandez, Michael Goramn, Alex Guerrero and Makai Mann, all class of 2012 graduates, were a part of a team of 11 KS Maui students that went to the national conference. They were a part of the Hawai'i HOSA delegation of 185 students, teachers and chaperones that traveled to Orlando to compete with students from 49 states and Puerto Rico in 32 health-related/medical events. In total, there were more than 7,000 delegates in attendance.
Algebra II teacher Brandy Cajudoy and freshmen Biology teacher Kyle Fujii accompanied the group to Orlando.
This was the sixth year that a team from KS Maui went to the conference, having students place in the top 10 nationally three times before posting their best national finish this year.
