The event features "Through Nāmaka's Eyes," a one-hour documentary chronicling the life of Pat Nāmaka Bacon, daughter of renowned Hawaiian scholar, educator, author and composer Mary Kawena Pukui. Inspired by her mother, Bacon grew to become an accomplished Hawaiian cultural resource in her own right, dedicating most of her life to preserving oli, hula, and the traditional Hawaiian ways of our kūpuna.
