The Summer School Program offers a diverse curriculum for students attending Kamehameha Schools, public schools, charter schools and other private schools. Summer School is available to students entering grade 1-12 and incoming Kindergarteners who are five years of age by June 12, 2013.

The K-8 Kula Kauwela (Summer School Program) offers a diverse curriculum giving learners an opportunity to demonstrate 21st century skills while engaging Hawaiian culture-based/place-based/project-based learning, while the high school summer schools offer credit courses. For class times and details, please review the 2013 Hawai'i Summer School course catalog or visit our web site at http://hawaii.ksbe.edu/summer.

Tuition for summer school is $400 for full day session or $200 for high school half day session, with both including the price for lunch. Transportation is provided for an additional $100 fee.

Kamehameha Schools' admissions policy is to give preference to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law. If you would like to be considered under that policy, your Hawaiian ancestry must be verified by Kamehameha's Ho'oulu Hawaiian Data Center. Please work directly with the Data Center staff to complete your ancestry determination as soon as you can and preferably no later than the application deadline for the program to which you are applying. For more information, please call the Data Center at (808) 523-6228; toll free at 1-800-842-4682, or by checking www.ksbe.edu/datacenter.

To request an application for admission to the Summer School Program, please call (808) 982-0100 or e-mail at admissions@ksbe.edu.
