HONOLULU — Kamehameha Schools today announced the appointment of Eric Marler to the position of vice president and chief financial officer, effective Nov. 15, 2010. Marler will be responsible for overseeing the fiscal health and financial policies of the trust, and will oversee a staff of 80 at the schools' Kawaiaha'o Plaza business offices.
Marler is currently the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Hawai'i Reserves, Inc., the property development and management company responsible for the Hawai'i property holdings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a position he has held since 1997. His last day in that position is Nov. 14, 2010.

"His experience with long-term strategic budgeting, finance, real estate development and working with the educational community at BYU will serve Kamehameha Schools well.
