Kamehameha Schools hosts community open house on Hawai’i campus

Student groups will lead walking tours of the campus following a multi-media presentation in Haaeamahi Dining Hall to provide an update on the education programs and upcoming phases of construction on the school grounds. Tours will begin on the hour from 9 a.m. to noon. Those who attend will enjoy a first-hand look at the schools' facilities and will have an overview of the campus' expansion from only 2 buildings last year to 10 buildings at present. Visitors planning to take the tour are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes. Tours will last about 1 hour. For reservations or more information, please call 982-0001. Kamehameha Schools is a statewide educational system founded and endowed by the legacy of Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop, comprising three campuses on three islands and more than 30 preschool sites throughout the state of Hawaii. Nearly 4,900 preschool through grade 12 students of Hawaiian ancestry are currently enrolled.
