Kamehameha Schools’ FY 2009 Financial Statements Posted

The financial statements, which were reported to local news media earlier this month, include the Trust's educational spending level for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2009 - $258 million. During the same period, Kamehameha Schools provided educational services to 44,401 learners – including 30,706 students and 13,695 parents and caregivers, a 16.3 percent increase over FY 2008.

Total return on the Fair Value of the Trust's endowment was -20.9% for the fiscal year, which marked 12 full months of global recession. Kamehameha Schools' endowment value at the end of the fiscal year was approximately $7.2 billion, down $2.2 billion from the previous year.
