The fourth annual cycle of Community Advisory Meetings is a continuing effort to engage the Hawaiian community in thoughtful dialogue on issues important to Kamehameha Schools and the community it serves. "Over the next few months, Kamehameha Schools will meet with its 'ohana and the Hawaiian community to gather input on how we can shape our admissions criteria to better meet the educational needs of our Hawaiian community and perpetuate the legacy of Ke Ali'i Bernice Pauahi Bishop," said Hamilton McCubbin, CEO. All of the Community Advisory Meetings take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and will be held in various locations across the state: September 3 Lana'i Elementary School Cafeteria September 4 Moloka'i Kulana 'Oiwi Halau September 12 Castle High School Cafeteria September 16 Hale'iwa Elementary School Cafeteria September 18 Punalu'u: Queen Lili'uokalani Children's Center September 25 Kapolei High School Cafeteria October 8 Kaua'i: King Kaumuali'i Cafeteria October 10 Kamehameha Schools Maui Campus Cafeteria October 15 Kamehameha Schools Hawaii Campus Cafeteria October 28 Waimea, Hawai'i: DHHL Kuhio Hall October 29 Kona, Hawai'i: Kealakehe Intermediate Cafeteria October 30 Kamehameha Elementary School Cafeteria, Kapalama Campus November 4 Kamehameha Waimanalo Preschool Meetings will also be scheduled in selected Mainland cities.
