"Ronnie's long history with the elementary school 'ohana will allow a seamless transition as Dr. Holoua Stender leaves for the Hawai'i campus as their next Po'o Kula," said Dr. Michael Chun, President and Head of School for Kamehameha School Kapālama. "We are comforted knowing we will be in good hands under Ronnie's leadership. Please help me congratulate Ronnie on her new role. We are confident she is the full package; character, competence and chemistry."
Kopp has served as Vice Principal for KES for the past eight years. During this time she has also been a member of Kamehameha's Ka Pi'ina Support and Core Planning Team – an initiative to grow and support campus faculty. Prior to her education administration experience, Ronne was a Kamehameha Early Education Program (KEEP) demonstration teacher and a KES fourth grade teacher for over 13 years.
Kopp's appointment as KES Principal begins June 1, 2012.
