The hour-long dance concert features mostly jazz-based routines, with some modern and lyrical, or modern ballet, numbers as well. The Kamehameha Dance Company is comprised of about 40 dancers from grades 7-12.
Performing arts instructor Erin Morita said the concert will feature an eclectic mix of music with the theme of 'Balance' encompassing the performance.
"Our theme is based on the idea that in order to go up you must first go down, and with all things in balance you will be whole. It also refers to the idea that everyone is in their place and time for a reason," Morita said.
"The students of the Kamehameha Dance Company are determined, committed, highly skilled and just about the hardest working kids I know," she added. "This concert will not only be thoroughly entertaining but you will also have the opportunity to see these amazing students in their element, doing what they love and are passionate about, and doing what it is that keeps them balanced."
