Day of Pule scheduled for October 16 in Hawaii, U.S. and Iraq

October 14, 2005

Contributed by Thomas Yoshida

In addition to service in Honolulu, similar events will take place in Hilo, California, South Dakota, Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan and as far away as Iraq.

Oct. 16 is a significant date in the Kamehameha Schools' history as it marks the 120th anniversary of Bernice Pauahi Bishop's passing and the service seeks guidance on a pono decision from the 9th Circuit.
