The album cover is a blend of old and new. The piano pictured gave Princess Pauahi hours of enjoyment as she was an accomplished pianist. The instrument remains in the Heritage Center on the Kapālama Campus. The lei draped on the piano is of maile, 'ilima and rose buds. The maile symbolizes royalty, the 'ilima, O'ahu's flower and rose buds, our children. Pauahi loved the rose above all blossoms. The choir proudly wears uniforms adorned with designs of these flowers.

The Kamehameha Schools Children's Chorus was organized in 1988 by KS music teacher, Suzanne Kaupu Soon and directed by Lynell Bright since 1989. Consisting of 100 members, the chorus is made up of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders from the Kamehameha Schools Kapālama Campus elementary division. The students' ages range from 9-12 years old.
