Be a part of the legacy

The journey to a Kamehameha Schools education starts here.

A day in the life

At every KS Preschools site, we provide a consistent structure and routine for keiki. From arriving to school, to saying “a hui hou” to kumu and friends, our haumāna build a foundation rooted in Hawaiian culture and values that lead to a strong sense of identity and a lifelong joy of learning.

Keiki can begin their learning journey today with our resources:

Aloha from Hāmākua Preschool! 🌺Kumu Jaycie and her haumāna begin the day with mele and hula that serve as inspiration to fill each day with kindness and aloha. 💗 🎼 Mele: E Nā Punahele by Leon & Malia

Our Nānākuli preschoolers rolled up their sleeves and joined the effort to clean up the muliwai (formerly known as Stink Pond) at Nānākuli Beach! As a part of a year long project, the keiki have been making and throwing genki balls in the muliwai to improve the water quality. Thanks to collective community action, the stream is healing — and our keiki are learning that even at 3 and 4 years old, they have the power to make a difference. 💪🏽 Read the full article at www.ksbe.edu #EarthDayEveryDay #OiwiLeaders #imuakamahameha #kamehamehapreschool #Nanakuli #MalamaAina

From the youngest keiki to the most accomplished performers on stage, hula lives in every generation. 🌺 The Civic Auditorium in Hilo was filled to capacity to witness the spectacular opening ceremony of the 62nd Merrie Monarch Festival. Among the crowd was Sunday, a bright-eyed haumāna from Kamehameha Preschool Keaukaha, beaming with pride as she watched her sister Kayumi dance alongside a stunning line of ʻōlapa. “I want to dance in Merrie Monarch like my sister,” she shared. 💖 Hula lives on in moments like these—when the heart of one generation inspires the dreams of the next. #learning #growing #HCBE #HawaiianCultureBasedEducation #EOla #imuakamehameha #MerrieMonarch #MerrieMonarch2025 #MM2025 #MeleManaka #HulaisLife #hula #hilohawaii #Keiki #Dreams #olapa #Inspiration #Keaukaha
