Kamehameha Schools Hawai‘i haumāna learn to activate their ‘Ōiwi Edge, our campus identity, in their educational journey. The Hawaiian worldview, culture, and language empowers keiki to fulfill their passions and purposes as they prepare for college. The campus community of excellent educators teach haumāna how to be agents of social change through rigorous challenges and problem-solving. Kamehameha Schools Hawai‘i impresses upon their students that the key to college preparation is an unwavering understanding of their Hawaiian identity.
At kula ha‘aha‘a (Elementary School), we offer a rigorous foundational curriculum aligned with college and career readiness. We aim to nurture haumāna who are creative, self-directed learners who are competent in collaboration, communication, digital literacy, critical thinking and problem solving.
At kula waena (middle school), haumāna transition successfully from kula ha‘aha‘a and begin to explore and dive into additional interests including tech, drama, art and band all while building upon the foundational curriculum aligned with college and career readiness.
At kula ki‘eki‘e (high school), we prepare haumāna for life after graduation with career academies, advanced placement programs, and dual credit college programs.
With over 20 different sports we offer opportunities for haumāna to engage in a variety of sports at the JV or varsity level during each season.
Extracurricular and co-curricular activities are an essential part of a well-rounded education. We offer a broad spectrum of activities for haumāna to sharpen their skills in leadership, academics, community service, culture, and the arts.
As a proud parent of two KS Hawai‘i alumni, Ashlin has had the privilege of witnessing her keiki's remarkable journey, growth and transformation. With the guidance and support of our kumu, her keiki grew to be confident ‘ōiwi leaders, inspired to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
