Resilient partners create resilient communities

Long-time Kamehameha Schools tenant Sumida Farm is the recipient of the 2022 SmallBiz Editor’s Choice Award in Agriculture from Hawaii Business magazine. The farm has been part of the fabric of the ʻAiea community for nearly 100 years.

The Sumida ʻohana has been farming watercress for four generations in pure spring water from Kalauao, and reminds us of our connection to ʻāina and protecting resources that nourish our community. KS recently renewed its 10-acre lease with Sumida Farm for the next 25 years. Investing in the family business invests in our communities for generations to come.
