Kamehameha Schools campuses, preschool sites and offices will be closed Monday, Feb. 9

Feb. 8, 2026

Aloha mai kākou,

To ensure that our Ke Kula ʻo Kamehameha ʻohana is safe and well, and in sync with State of Hawaiʻi safety plans, all Kamehameha Schools campuses, preschool sites and offices will be closed Monday, Feb. 9, due to the oncoming severe weather.

While we value each day of learning and advancement of Ke Aliʻi Pauahi’s mission, this decision was made with the safety and well-being of our haumāna, ‘ohana and staff as our top priority. We will continue to closely monitor conditions and will share timely updates if there are any changes, including extended site closures and other operational changes. We also plan to send a follow-up message with information about when campuses and sites will reopen.

For our campus ‘ohana, individual school sites will provide additional operational updates. For KS staff, only essential services, workers, and operations, as determined by supervisors, will continue as necessary to mālama our people and places.

We encourage everyone to mālama kekahi i kekahi, remain attentive to your surroundings, and prioritize the well-being of your ‘ohana and kaiāulu.

E mālama pono.
