EdTech Conference keynotes available for viewing

Eugene Yoon shared an inspiring message about the importance of kindness and how by refocusing his life on sharing kindness, he is fulfilling his purpose.

The Kamehameha Schools Education Technology Conference marked its 10th conference this year, making it one of the longest standing conferences in Hawaiʻi focused on PreK-12 learning and technology.

The event aims to help improve the educational system in Hawaiʻi by bringing world-class resources and learning opportunities to Hawaiʻi for teachers who may not otherwise have the professional development funding or time available for a conference on the continental U.S.

This year’s theme was DisRupt – taking a closer look at the digital disruption happening right now and how educators can learn to embrace change through technology to minimize any negative effects of that disruption.

The conference featured three powerful keynote presentations from three people who had experienced major disruptions in their own lives, but found clarity of purpose and how they could positively impact the world through the actions they take.

If you were unable to attend the conference this year, or even if you did and would like to revisit the inspiring messages shared, you can now watch keynote presentations from both days on the conference website.

“Every year, we have been blessed with inspiring keynotes, and this year we are excited to share them,” said KS Information Technology Director Dean Tomita.

“Eugene Yoon and Arthur Renowitsky will encourage you to re-think ‘kindness’ in all facets of your life, while Capt. Liz Clark’s message will cause you to reflect on the yearnings of your heart, to break free from perceived limitations and to follow your unique journey that is yours to claim.”
