Dr. SCOTT PARKER, Kamehameha Schools Maui Po‘o Kula
Dr. Scott Parker has served as the po‘o kula (head of school) for Kamehameha Schools Maui since June 2017. Previously, he was the interim hope po‘o kula (assistant head of school) at KS’ Kapālama campus.
His 20-plus years of experience includes work as a teacher and administrator in both public and private schools on Maui and O‘ahu.
A 1992 graduate of Maui High, Dr. Parker went on to earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. He also has an Ed.D. in educational leadership from the University of Southern California.
In 2014, Dr. Parker was honored with the STRIVE HI Award for sustained academic achievement while principal at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School in Honolulu. He is also a member of the Royal Order of Kamehameha and a recipient of numerous commendations for his service to the Hawai‘i Air National Guard.
