BEN SALAZAR, Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer
Ben Salazar is the vice president of finance and chief financial officer of Kamehameha Schools. The Finance Group is comprised of four divisions: Enterprise Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis, Controller and Treasury. Salazar and his team are charged with balancing the resources needed to finance KS’ strategic plans, while preserving the endowment for future generations, into perpetuity.
Salazar has held several leadership positions since joining KS in 2005. Prior to being named chief financial officer, he served as KS’ financial risk manager and treasurer. Before joining KS, Salazar was a manager at KPMG LLP and controller at National Mortgage and Finance.
In addition to fulfilling his leadership role at KS, he currently serves as board member for the Coalition for a Drug-Free Hawaii, and is a former board member at the Historic Hawai‘i Foundation and the American Heart Association.
Salazar holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Accounting from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
