Since 1956, the prestigious Order of Ke Ali‘i Pauahi Award has been the highest and most distinguished award given to those who have exemplified the vision of Kamehameha Schools founder Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop.

Nominations for the 2020 award are being accepted through Feb. 7. The winners will be honored at an awards celebration in May.


PURPOSE

The following awards recognize individuals who in their selflessness, made extraordinary lifetime contributions to the Hawaiian community and whose very lives have been inspirational to many:

The Order of Ke Ali‘i Pauahi Award is bestowed upon living individuals who have exemplified the vision and values of Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop, great-granddaughter of Kamehameha I.


The Order of Ke Ali‘i Pauahi Legacy Award posthumously honors an individual whose life’s work also exemplified the vision and values of Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop.

Kamehameha Schools’ policy is to give preference to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law.
