He Ho'omana'o iā Dr. Kāwika Rose

Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 10:30am - 2:00 pm
Location: William Charles Lunalilo Center

On Saturday, April 18, Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi has been asked by the Rose ʻohana to help with the celebration of life for a beloved member of our faculty and staff, Dr. Kāwika Rose. A memorial will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 beginning with visitation at 10:30 a.m. with services to follow at 12:30 p.m., at Lunalilo Hale here on our campus.

Dr. Rose was a dedicated and committed educator whose love for teaching was evident in every lesson he created and every student he supported. He had a special gift for making mathematics meaningful and accessible, inspiring confidence, curiosity, and perseverance in our haumāna. While he truly loved teaching, he loved his haumāna even more—always leading with kindness, patience, and an unwavering belief in their ability to succeed.

He loved teaching; he loved his haumāna even more!

Haumāna, kumu, alumni and alakaʻi of Kula Kiʻekiʻe have been asked to gather at the start of the service to oli (Nehenehe/Kupu A'e Ka Liko) at the start of the service.

Then to close the service, we, as a Kamehameha ʻohana, will offer Oli Mahalo.
