As you come on to campus, you will notice a large sign with ʻSee Something, Say Something" on there. Safety is the top priority for our kula and a sacred kuleana. This year, we'll be talking more about safety and everything our school does to make our haumāna, kumu, and ʻohana feel like this is a safe space for them.
This month, we are highlighting See Something, Say Something with a very visible reminder that everyone plays an important role in the safety of our environment. It's a proactive call for everyone to feel comfortable with coming forward and speaking up if they don't feel safe so issues can be addressed right away. By saying something, you make the difference in how quickly issues are addressed and resolved.
The campaign coincides with haumāna training taking place this month and the many different avenues they have for reporting issues.
Mahalo to everyone for your help in keeping our kula safe and making pono choices not only here on campus, but everywhere you are at all times. I Mua!
