Wondering what the latest news is regarding Kamehameha's SP2020 planning efforts? Interested in reading the Action Plans created for each of the five goals of the strategic plan? Or maybe you’re interested in perusing the four Regional Plans that have been created so far?

Or, maybe it’s the Ten Actions that will guide KS over the next fiscal year that is drawing your curiosity?

Well, welcome to the new SP2020 website, which was launched by the Community Relations and Communications Group on April 14. The site replaces the former Progress and Promise site which housed information on the Kamehameha Schools Strategic Plan 2000-2015.

The new site features a timeline of key milestones in the development of SP2020, many of which include clickable links that bring up more information on each particular highlight.

“We have to thank Matthew Corry of Strategic Planning and Implementation for helping with the approach for the new site,” said KS Internal Communications Manager Ed Kalama. “Matt suggested a timeline concept that tells the story of where KS has been, where we are now and where we’re going in the future toward SP2020 and Vision 2040.”

Other elements include the actual plan document itself, a section featuring the latest news and information that has been distributed surrounding SP 2020, and a selection of videos that relate to SP2020 planning efforts.

Content from the old Progress and Promise site has been migrated, including the 2000-2015 plan document and a list of KS accomplishments for each of the last plan’s seven goals. The KS SP2020 plan is based on the foundation set by the strategic plan of 2000-2015.

Kudos to CRC Digital Innovation Manager Andreas Arvman and Digital Media Specialist Todd Masui for their expert assistance in creating the site.

And a very special mahalo goes out to KS leaders Robert and Shawna Medeiros who allowed their family portrait to be used representing all Hawaiian families as KS moves forward with SP2020 and Vision 2040.

Visit the site here: www.ksbe.edu/sp2020.

SP2020 is a five-year strategic plan that will guide Kamehameha Schools from 2015 to 2020. The plan marks a starting point toward Vision 2040, which envisions success for all Native Hawaiian learners.
