SP2020 is a five-year strategic plan that will guide Kamehameha Schools from 2015 to 2020. The plan marks a starting point toward Vision 2040, which envisions success for all Native Hawaiian learners. This site provides a repository of information related to SP2020.
Within a generation of 25 years, we see a thriving Lāhui where our learners achieve postsecondary educational success, enabling good life and career choices. We also envision that our learners will be grounded in Christian and Hawaiian values and will be leaders who contribute to their communities, both locally and globally.

Approximately 47,000 of Hawai‘i’s public school students are of Hawaiian ancestry. This MOU enables KS to work with the DOE to cultivate a strong Native Hawaiian identity in its students, preparing them for post-secondary success.

April — For the fiscal year 2017-2018, the emphasis is to simplify. This will require the organization to focus on what is relevant to successful learners and systems, and to stop those activities that are less impactful. A summary of the annual plan for the third year into SP2020 is shared with staff in the employees section of this website.
