The Kamehameha Schools Board of Trustees today named Livingston “Jack” Wong to the position of chief executive officer.

Wong had served as interim CEO for the organization since April 2014, when Dee Jay Mailer retired.

Since 2013, Wong had served the institution as vice president of Legal Affairs. He has served in a variety of capacities since joining Kamehameha Schools in 1997.

“In the last six months, we have had the opportunity to work closely with Jack, to personally experience the skills, and professional and personal qualities he brings to Kamehameha Schools,” said Board Chairman Lance Wilhelm. “We have come to know and trust his judgment and his instinct in the CEO position.”

Trustee Janeen Olds agreed.

“I believe there is no better indication of Jack’s devotion to the mission of Kamehameha Schools than the extraordinary work he has already done for our organization,” she said. “He is a true servant leader dedicated to the well-being of Pauahi’s beneficiaries.”
