For her senior legacy project, Lonomakaihe's Tylee Calicdan wanted to create a reflection on the past 13 years for the students who have been here with her at Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi. She chose to take on this project, especially during these times with COVID, because she wanted to honor and recognize those “KS lifers” of the senior class and for those who watch be inspired and witness how Kamehameha Schools shapes young students into future leaders.

Watch "13 Years" -

As they begin their final semester here in Keaʻau, at the only school they've ever known, we share and highlight these reflections that Tylee put together with her classmates who have been with her since Kindergarten to share memories and manaʻo from over that time.

The project features short reflections from 26 of the 35 lifers of the Class of 2021 on everything from their favorite snacks to what they would tell younger students or what they would say to Pauahi if given the chance.

We hope you enjoy this look back as we look forward to everything these haumāna will do in their future. Hoʻomaikaʻi Tylee on a wonderful project!
