With the mantra of “Healthy children learn better” as a rallying force, the Kamehameha Schools Kaua‘i Region team partnered with KS preschools to sponsor and volunteer at the inaugural West Kaua‘i Early Learning Health & Education Fair Tuesday morning at Kaumakani Ballpark Pavilion.

Keiki engaged in multiple play stations, enjoyed complimentary healthy snacks and books, received vision and oral health guidance, financial aid help and legal information.

“We truly believe that healthy keiki learn better, and we continue to work with community partners to support our Kaua‘i ‘ohana,” said KS Kaua‘i Regional Director Buffy Ofisa.

This and other efforts in the community are crucial as early learning education provides the building blocks that result in lasting positive effects in academics, social and psychological behaviors, and mold young minds into industrious adults who contribute to a thriving society.
