KS staffers share insight with construction industry pros

Construction industry professionals have a better understanding of how KS cultivates communities thanks to a recent presentation by Walter Thoemmes – managing director of KS Commercial Real Estate, and Kamuela Cobb-Adams – KS senior director of Community Engagement & Resources for Oʻahu.

The KS leaders shared their mana‘o at a recent Pacific Resource Partnership event at the Pacific Club.

Cobb-Adams highlighted the nine regions within CE&R, KS’ Vision 2040, the importance of community, and the kuleana KS has for the lāhui Hawaiʻi. Thoemmes shared why KS develops, and the importance of the endowment. He also spoke about past, present and future development projects, showing the group how they contribute to our educational mission.

The night concluded with a one-on-one question and answer segment where industry professionals were able to talk to the directors about various projects.

Pacific Resource Partnership represents the Hawaiʻi Regional Council of Carpenters which is the largest construction union in the state, with over 240 diverse contractors.
