Veteran Major League Baseball player Kolten Wong, a 2008 Kamehameha Schools Hawai‘i graduate, earned his first Rawlings Gold Glove Award on Sunday.
The prestigious honor is presented annually to the top defensive players at their respective positions. As a second baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals, Wong led the majors this season with 14 defensive runs saved and paced the National League with 412 assists and 671 total chances.
