The Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi girls basketball team has accomplished what it’s worked so hard to do over the last four years, get to the state basketball championship game and win it.
Led by senior Saydee Aganus, who was named the tournament’s most outstanding player, with 19 points, the Warriors upset top-seeded and previously unbeaten Saint Francis 41-32 to cap an successful season with a defining win.
The title is the program’s fifth overall, and first since 2013.
