Kamehameha Schools has named Adam Green director of its Enterprise Finance Division, a newly created position within KS’ Finance Group.

In his new role Green will support advancing KS’ Strategic Plan 2020. Green will be in charge of examining and analyzing KS’ endowment resources, and will provide guidance to maintain financial equilibrium. One of his main job functions will be to design and consult financial strategies that support the success of Native Hawaiian learners.

The Finance Group includes Commercial Real Estate, Financial Assets and Finance, and is one of the many divisions at KS which offer direction to ensure the endowment continues to support future educational opportunities. The group oversees the financial resources of the organization, including managing the KS endowment fund and providing enterprise-wide infrastructure for financial decision-making, accounting and cash management.

“I’m so pleased to have Adam at KS,” says Finance Managing Director Ben Salazar. “His years of experience in New York on Wall Street, coupled with his Hawai‘i upbringing will serve him well in his new position.”

Green will work with the Commercial Real Estate and Financial Assets divisions to assist in the integration of the organization’s financial activities.

Green studied economics at The University of Pennsylvania and Finance at The Wharton School, graduating Summa Cum Laude with both degrees. He started his career on Wall Street at Citigroup in Mergers and Acquisitions, rising to the position of chief of staff for the Global Investment Banking Division.

“My goal is to support the KS team in using the enterprise resource model for planning and decision-making,” says Green. “I feel blessed to have a mission-driven, professional opportunity that utilizes my skill set to make Hawai‘i, my home, a better place to live.  I'm especially grateful to work at an educational institution, given that I owe so much to my education and the sacrifices my parents made to ensure I had that priority in my life.”
