About me

My name is Mrs. Miki Kapisi and I have been working at the Kamehameha Maui Middle School campus since it opened in 2002. I graduated from Brigham Young University-Hawaii Campus. I receive my Master’s degree from Heritage College in 1996. My work experience includes teaching students from preschool – grade 10 for the past 24 years. I have taken many classes at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center, learning how to integrate art into the core subject areas. Through these courses, I have become a Level 5 Teaching Artist and have been using drama in my 7th grade science classes. In my free time, I enjoy crochet, crossfit, cooking (healthy dishes) and spending time with my family. I LOVE the energy the middle school students bring to my LIFE
