About me

Teaching is a passion of mine, but I enjoy learning even more! At the University of Michigan, I earned my BA in English (1992), completed their Secondary Teacher Certification Program (1992), and earned a MA in Secondary Education (1994). I am a National Board Certified Teacher who specializes in Adolescence and Young Adulthood English Language Arts (2003; renewed in 2013), and am also a NBCT Candidate Support Provider. Additionally, I maintain my Hawaii Teacher Standards Board Certification (Advanced Professional). I previously taught English at Baldwin High School in Wailuku (1994-2004), and am now thrilled to be serving the KSM ʻohana (2004-present).
