About me

My name is Kimberly Leialoha Thomas, Manager for the Office of the Poʻo Kula here at Kamehameha Schools Maui since March 2019. I support Poʻo Kula (Head of School) in the day-to-day operations of the school in addition to leaders and administrative support staff across our K-12 campus, when needed.My career with Kamehameha Schools began in October 1990 as Senior Clerk to Mrs. Cordy MacLaughlin, Coordinator of the Maui Regional Resource Center. With the creation of the Maui campus in 1996, I found myself being moved to the position of Secretary to Mrs. Cordy MacLaughlin, who was selected as the K-5 principal for the new school’s temporary campus in Pukalani. I then moved into the position of Secretary/Regional Coordinator when the campus moved to its permanent site on ʻAʻapueo Parkway in August 1999 and in August 2001, I moved into the role of Senior Administrative Assistant to support the first Headmaster of KS Maui, Dr. Rod Chamberlain, upon the retirement Mrs. MacLaughlin, our founding Principal and Acting Headmaster. Since 2001 until current, I've continued to support the person holding the role of Ke Poʻo Kula.I am a proud graduate of The Kamehameha Schools, Class of 1984 and I hold an associate degree in accounting from Maui Community College. I have three grown children and three grandchildren.
