I began my journey at KS in January 2020 with Hoʻolaukoa at Kapālama as the Data and Research Analyst assigned to KS Maui and am very happy to be a part of the KS Maui ʻohana. I have an AA in Hawaiian Studies, a BA in Ethnic Studies, a Graduate Certificate in Conflict Resolution, and an MA in Pacific Island Studies all from the UH system. Prior to returning to academia in 2010 to finish my degree I managed a landscape design company, sod farm, and nursery for 15 years on my home island of Kauaʻi. I have ʻohana with kuleana throughout our pae ʻāina with a kūʻauhau that predates the current historical record. I have a passion for all things native and was born with a natural affinity for plants. I am an Ethnobotanist at heart, but that’s another story. I enjoy the outdoors, spending time with ʻohana, traveling, and cooking. My role is to address any of the data and research needs of our campus as they relate to our staff, kumu, haumāna and their ʻohana. I also work on enterprise level initiatives which impact our campus and beyond. I am honored to be of service to our campus, Pauahi, and our lāhui.
