About me

Aloha mai kākou! My name is Mrs. Eimen and I am beyond ecstatic to continue my position as Director of Bands for Kamehameha. I received my Bachelor’s in Music Education: with Instrumental Concentration from Eastern Illinois University where I sat Principal Player in our Wind Symphony under direction of Dr. Alicia Neal. My passion for directing stemmed from my first experience in 2011 and has continued to flourish with my most recent tenure being a band director in Arizona over the last three years. As the philosopher Socrates said, “True wisdom comes to us when we realize how little we understand about life, ourselves, and the world around us”. I concur with the great Socrates and have made it my life’s work to ensure for all students that life, our place in it, and the world around us can be enriched through acquiring knowledge in, experience with and exposure to the musical arts. I look forward to immersing myself in our community, culture, and traditions while cultivating an environment where we strive for our greatest potential as one Ohana.
