|Title:||Head of Summer and Extended Learning|
|Department:||Summer and Extended Learning|
Born and raised on the island of Molokai, I understand how important education is in improving outcomes for Native Hawaiians and I’ve dedicated my career in this effort. With a bachelor’s of science degree in Physical Education and a minor in Biology, I continued my educational preparation by earning a master’s degree in Secondary Education from Southern Utah University and a certificate in Education Administration from the University of Hawaii Mānoa. I began teaching indigenous youth from the Piute, Ute, and Navajo Native American Tribes before returning home to teach haumāna at my alma mater Molokai High and Intermediate School in 1999. I made my journey to Kamehameha Schools Maui High School in 2005 as Vice Principal and have served as Po`o Kumu of the Academies since 2010. It has been an absolute honor to serve Ke Alii Pauahi, our haumāna, `ohana, and Lāhui here on Maui.
