About me

Aloha! My name is Chauna Rickard, I support Māhele Luna Kumu with educational technology. After 15 years in the classroom, teaching mathematics, I've taken the leap, stepping outside of the classroom to kōkua our kumu and haumāna, focusing on technology innovation, haumāna personalization and productive courses of action, while infusing E Ola! Born and raised in Kāneʻohe on the island of Oʻahu, I graduated from Kamehameha Schools Kapālama, earned a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics from Loyola Marymount University, and a Masters Degree in Education along with a Secondary Teaching Certification from Chaminade University of Honolulu. I've also had the opportunity to work as a kumu with the Ho'omāka'ika'i Program, Hālau o Kapikohānaiāmālama, and Ipukukui. Married to KSM High School Math Teacher, Kaholo Rickard, we have three children and two fur babies.
