|Title:||High School Art Teacher|
I have had the pleasure of serving Kamehameha Schools Maui as an art instructor for the past 11 years. My previous experience involved teaching art at St. Anthony High School and student teaching at Baldwin High School. I am a 1989 graduate of Baldwin High School and went on to earn my Bachelor of Arts in Art History Criticism/Fine Arts at the University of California, San Diego. I furthered my professional development by receiving a Masterʻs degree in Secondary Education with the University of Phoenix and obtained a National Board Certification in Secondary Art Education in 2011. Art advocacy and volunteerism are also a part of my interests as I enjoy my duties as co-chair for the Maui County Fair Art Exhibition. My husband Brian and I have two daughters, one that is a 2015 KSM graduate and the other that is currently at the elementary school. I feel very fortunate to be a part of the Kamehameha Schools ʻOhana and feel blessed to be able to share my passion for the arts with my students and see their artistic growth over the years.
