About me

I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas.  My family from my mother’s side is from Portugal, specifically the Azores, but almost all of my family still lives in Texas.  I went to University of Southern California for my undergraduate degree, and I was able to create my own major called Childhood and ADHD.  After that, I went to University of Hawaiʻi Mānoa to get my teaching certification in science.  I have been teaching in classrooms all around Maui since 2008 and doing college counseling since 2011.  It is my passion to help haumāna discover their goals for their life after high school and then helping them make a viable plan to get there!
