The 2nd annual Walk for Pauahi took place on March 26, 2014. A Walk for Pauahi was created in 2013 by alumna Bree Kaneakua as her senior legacy project. In an effort to grow the event, then-senior Khaila Moke-Sakamoto added a new component -- a KS Hawai'i National Honor Society scholarship through Ke Ali'i Pauahi Foundation. The walk was created as a way to have fun and demonstrate the Hawaiian value of kahiau, or to give generously from the heart without expecting anything in return. In addition to honoring the mission of KS and the legacy of its founder Ke Ali'i Pauahi, the event was an opportunity for all members of the community who have benefited from the legacy of Bernice Pauahi Bishop, to come together and give back to help continue her legacy.
