Uniting in song

February 7, 2023

After a hard-fought semifinal match during the 2023 Motiv8/HHSAA Division I Girls Soccer Championship tournament Feb. 3 at Pearl City High School, members of the KS Maui and KS Kapālama teams met in the middle of the field and joined hands to sing, “Sons of Hawaiʻi”. ESPN Honolulu was onsite to capture a truly unifying moment for the entire Kamehameha Schools ʻohana. After the 2-0 win over KSM, the ladies of KSK advanced to the final match the following night against Punahou, falling to the Buff-n-Blue, 3-0, while the third-place game between KSM and Mililani was canceled due to inclement weather.
