An estimated one out of every four Native Hawaiians has either diabetes or prediabetes. Join Team Kamehameha at the 2.3-mile Step Out to Stop Diabetes Walk slated for Saturday, March 18 at Kapiʻolani Park. KS is taking part in the event for the first time, to bring awareness to diabetes as a Native Hawaiian health issue. There is no cost to participate, and the first 50 people to sign up will receive a free Team Kamehameha T-shirt. The Step Out Walk is a fundraiser, but collecting pledges is optional. Sign up by searching for "Team Kamehameha" on the event registration website: http://main.diabetes.org/site/Calendar?view=Detail&id=52389.
