KS Kapālama Hawaiian Ensemble and Marching Band haumāna performed at the memorial celebration for alumnus Senator Daniel Akaka as part of their hoʻokupu to the senator and his ʻohana. As fate would have it, a member of the senator's 'ohana - Kupono Akaka - is part of the KSK Marching Band. It was an honor to be able to celebrate a great servant leader and fellow pua a Pauahi.
